How to make the creamiest mashed potatoes

Top tips:
  1. Cut your potatoes into even-sized chunks; this ensures even cooking.
  2. Cut your potatoes into larger rather than smaller chunks - cutting larger chunks will avoid too much water being absorbed into the potatoes before mashing.
  3. Add the potatoes to cold water and boil it from cold - this ensures even cooking through the potatoes.
  4. After draining, leave the potatoes in the colander for 3-4 minutes to ensure that all the excess water has drained from them.
